Job Description

The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Lead to join their Customer Engagement Assurance team. In this role, you will play a key part in providing expert advice on risk management strategies to ensure the effective implementation of operational risk frameworks.

Role Overview:

This permanent full-time position is based in Collins Street, Docklands VIC. As the Risk Management Lead, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including senior business leaders and risk managers. Your expertise will be utilised to develop and implement risk management plans that align with the bank's overall risk appetite.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management plans that address operational risk across the customer engagement portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks associated with new products and services
  • Provide guidance on risk-based decision-making to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to reduce risk exposure
  • Conduct regular risk reviews and provide recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation and control measures
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably within a banking or financial services environment
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to mitigate risk
