Key Role in Our Housekeeping Team

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is a pivotal member of our hotel team, responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department to maintain exceptional cleanliness and hospitality standards. This role involves supervising and managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring seamless operations, and providing an outstanding experience for our guests.

  • Direct and manage housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, guaranteeing tasks are completed efficiently and meeting high standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance protocols.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Addressing and resolving guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment.
  • Monitoring and controlling departmental expenses, including supply usage and equipment maintenance.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for new and existing housekeeping staff to enhance their knowledge of procedures and standards.
  • Providing ongoing coaching and support to staff to improve their skills and performance.
  • Ensuring that all housekeeping practices adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintaining accurate records of housekeeping activities, including room status, maintenance requests, and staff performance.
  • Preparing and presenting reports on departmental performance, including cleanliness scores and guest feedback.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities management role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
