About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Native Software Engineer to join our Azure Kubernetes Service team. As a key member of our team, you will work on the orchestrator that provides and manages Azure customer's Kubernetes clusters.

As a Cloud Native Software Engineer, you will interact with and develop deep understanding of other Azure services, Kubernetes control plane, and cloud-native tool chain in general. You will be involved in designing and implementing solutions at a global scale. Collaboration and flexibility are at the heart of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
  • Contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area.
  • Create and implement code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
  • Contribute to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provide estimation.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
