Are you ready to shape the future of cloud native technology? At Kong Inc., we're seeking a seasoned professional to join our Professional Services team as a Staff Solutions Architect.

About the Role

We're looking for an expert with extensive experience in cloud native technologies, API gateways, and DevOps. As a Staff Solutions Architect, you'll lead customer engagements, designing and implementing end-to-end solution architectures that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your technical expertise to guide customers through their full API lifecycle journey, from installation to implementation.
  • Develop hands-on technical implementation and configuration assistance across the Kong technology suite.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Create tooling and documentation to support the growth and success of Kong Inc.
Requirements

We're looking for individuals with:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in professional services, support, or other customer-facing technical roles.
  • Hands-on implementation experience with API gateways in customer environments.
  • Infrastructure build experience with virtual machines or Containers using Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, Security fundamentals, and Networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments, including Cloud and Development tooling.
  • Kubernetes proficiency/experience.
  • Experience with major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Prior experience working in the Open Source space, API Management, or Middleware/SaaS software companies.
  • Software development experience in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Lua).
