About the Role

This is a permanent part-time Administration Officer role for the Endoscopy team at Monash Health. Your role will be to create a positive first impression of Monash Health by providing a friendly, courteous and professional greeting to all visitors to the Endoscopy Unit. You will be responsible for providing efficient reception, secretarial and data base management associated with patient admission through Monash Health. You will also actively support the Endoscopy Unit with all administrative needs, including responding to incoming calls and emails, processing referrals, scheduling appointments, managing wait list referrals, attending clinic and data entry.

The successful candidate will require excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as intermediate computer skills. The Endoscopy Unit aims to provide safe, high-quality and timely care to our community. Our multi-disciplinary team works with humility, respect and kindness, striving to provide experiences that exceed expectation. The unit consists of 3 procedure rooms and provides a wide variety of elective interventional and emergency procedures, including Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy Procedures and Respiratory Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive first impression of Monash Health to all visitors
  • Provide efficient reception, secretarial and data base management associated with patient admission
  • Support the Endoscopy Unit with all administrative needs
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails
  • Process referrals and schedule appointments
  • Manage wait list referrals and attend clinic
  • Perform data entry
