Business Systems Manager

We are seeking a forward-thinking professional to lead our IT applications portfolio across departments.

About the Role:

This position provides strategic delivery, management, and improvement of our business applications, information, and data.

  • Information Systems Strategy & Applications Management
  • Provide management, strategy, and improvement of our business applications, information, and data.
  • Deliver application planning and engage with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with business processes.

You will be responsible for:

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market trends to identify replacement technologies and best-value options.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure consistent communication throughout partnerships.
  • Track critical business application uptime, managing vendor SLAs and relaying outage information.
  • Stay on top of changing information frameworks and regulations to ensure sensitive data is stored and protected.
  • Develop and communicate policies, procedures, and best-practice regarding Information Technology.
  • Identify and mitigate relevant technology risks that pose a direct threat to the business.
  • Support improvement of our Information Security Management System.
  • Assess third-party supplier risks and ensure remediation of issues.
  • Liaise with the finance department to understand budget expectations.
  • Monitor spending and review contracts, invoices, and billing to resolve anomalies and financial issues.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with significant hands-on experience implementing and managing business applications.
  • Vendor certifications in related disciplines are highly regarded.
  • Understanding of the Agile Manifesto and its impact on organizational culture.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering agile initiatives in high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems such as investment management, mortgages, lending (asset, unsecured, commercial, consumer), credit risk, collections, and debt purchase management.
  • Experience in Business Process Modelling and Business Process Re-engineering.
  • Strong understanding of the entire Microsoft Suite and familiarity with leading Information Security Standards, particularly ISO27001.
