Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contract Administration Support Partner to join our team at Darebin City Council. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing contract administration, monitoring and reporting on contract activities, and providing training and guidance to officers throughout the Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration: Manage contract administration from awarding the contract, monitor, update and finalise contract information at completion.
- Contract Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on contract activities and ensure activities are following policies, procedures and manuals.
- Training and Guidance: Deliver training and guidance to officers throughout Council that have responsibility for undertaking procurement activities.
- Procurement Projects: Assist with Procurement related projects as required.
- Purchasing Processes: Facilitating Council's purchasing processes, review requisitions and providing advice and guidance to internal and external staff.
- Best Value Guidelines: Ensure that the purchasing activities of the Council are conducted in a controlled and coordinated manner and according to relevant policies and procedures and Best Value guidelines.
Requirements:
- Purchasing Systems and Processes: A sound knowledge of purchasing systems, processes, and techniques as they apply to best practice.
- Local Government Experience: Experience in Local Government practices is highly desirable.
- Analytical and Attention to Detail: Analytical and attention to detail skills around identifying accumulative spend.
- Purchasing Practice and Policy Development: Sound experience in purchasing practice and policy development.
- Licenses, Certificates or Qualifications: Licenses, certificates or qualifications e.g. Tertiary qualification in Community Services
