About the role 

We're seeking a trade-qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor, to join our Vehicle Assessing team, based in our Sydney CBD office. In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately evaluating vehicle damage and ensuring safe, cost-effective repair solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the repair process for our self-insured vehicle fleet 

  • Accurately assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate and economical repair methods 

  • Conduct assessments across several channels 

  • Carry out assessments in line with claims protocols 

  • Prepare detailed assessment reports and negotiate appropriate repair scopes and costs with network repairers 

  • Manage rectification processes 

  • Collaborate with various internal teams to help achieve business goals 

  • Monitor repair timelines to improve vehicle utilisation 

What you'll bring

  • Trade-qualified in the motor repair industry 

  • Experience with Panel Beating or Spray Painting (advantageous) 

  • Prior assessing experience (preferred) 

  • Strong understanding of the motor body repair industry 

  • A commitment to high-quality customer service 

  • Confident computer skills 

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
