We are in search of a Product Specialist to support our Mining Machinery Engineering Team. Based at our Rutherford facility, this hands-on technical role is critical to ensuring the quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our underground development equipment.

About the Role

As the Product Specialist – Mechanical Support, you will be the technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to mechanical personnel across the business. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, production, and sales teams to maintain and enhance Ampcontrol Mining Machinery’s high-quality mechanical offering.

This is a dynamic role that combines mechanical mentoring, product lifecycle support, and technical troubleshooting, while helping shape the future of our mechanical products through knowledge sharing, documentation, and development support.

Key Responsibilities

- Mentor and support mechanical workshop personnel
- Provide product training and technical support to internal teams
- Assist in commissioning of mining machinery projects
- Manage customer interactions and deliver technical assistance
- Review and update project documentation, assessments, and estimates
- Contribute to production scheduling and resource planning
- Ensure product documentation is accurate and up to date
- Log issues/resolutions and contribute to continuous improvement
- Assist with product development, R&D, and proposal generation
- Maintain standards and monitor production quality outcomes

What You’ll Bring

- Mechanical Trade Qualification or Mechanical Engineering background
- Over 10 years of experience (desirable) in underground development mining equipment overhaul
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to work autonomously
- Proven mentoring skills and passion for uplifting team capability
- High-level communication and customer service skills
