About the role
We're undertaking a major infrastructure transformation and to support this, we're looking for IT Specialist - Network and Security Administrator, support delivery, and lead by example. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who combines deep technical knowledge looking for that next challenge.

Key responsibilities
As an IT Specialist - Network and Security Administrator, you will be key contributor for all things with delivery and support of network and operational security. Your role will span, operations, mentoring, planning, including:
- Deliver robust, scalable solutions for both on-prem and cloud environments
- Contribute to detailed network designs and high-level concepts aligned to architectural principles and business needs
- Participate in the consolidation of multiple networks and telephony systems into a unified platform
- Provide input into major projects, including data centre migrations and infrastructure modernisation
- Review and challenge the current state—recommending and implementing technical improvements
- Participate third-party and internal technical designs, offering constructive feedback and quality assurance
- Support ITSM practices—playing an active role in incident, problem, and change management
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and operational readiness of network infrastructure
What we're looking for
- Significant hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and Palo Alto firewalls (F5 desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of LAN/WAN and hybrid cloud network environments.
- Exposure to SASE architectures and cloud-based network security frameworks
- Strong knowledge of network security appliances, IT security issues, security audits, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to contribute to the design secure, scalable, and resilient networks in a corporate environment
- Ability to lead and mentor other SME's, with a focus on knowledge sharing and team development
- Understanding of network policy, governance, inventory, and disaster recovery planning
- Experience conducting vendor/product evaluations and influencing technical decisions
- Strong knowledge of corporate network and operational security architectures
- Cisco certification (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
