**Location**: Newcastle, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter
**Pay**: $32.00 per hour

**About Us**:
Join our team at Freight Specialists, a national logistics organization with over 30 years of experience. We're seeking dedicated Delivery Drivers to join our team in Newcastle and surrounding areas.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Conduct local and regional deliveries/pick-ups, requiring an HR licence.
- Operate forklift vehicles to facilitate loading/unloading tasks (forklift licence required).
- Ensure accurate reporting on driver runsheet.
- Perform pre-start checks on equipment to maintain safety standards.

**Essential Experience and Qualifications**:

- Hold a current HR heavy vehicle drivers licence and forklift licence.
- DG licence highly regarded.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and physical strength for labor-intensive tasks.
- Previous express freight experience preferred.
- Multidrop understanding of Newcastle or familiarity with drop-offs.
- Clean criminal record and ability to start immediately.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Good knowledge of Newcastle and surrounding areas.

**Personality Traits**:

- Willingness to undergo police background checks and random drug/alcohol tests.
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

**Onboarding and Training**:

- Training will include a buddy-up system, truck overview, and run-through.

**Working Hours**:

- Driving shifts typically start from 6-7 am and entail an 8-hour day.
