Overview

Volunteer Lifesaver — Location: Coochiemudlo Island Surf Life Saving Club. Commitment: Approx. 25 hours per season (flexible roster). Experience: No prior experience needed—full training provided.

Responsibilities

- Perform rescues and assist swimmers in distress

- Monitor surf conditions and swimmer safety during patrols

- Provide first aid and respond to emergencies

- Set up and pack down patrol areas (flags, signage, equipment)

- Support surf safety education for beachgoers

- Work as part of a team to maintain a safe, welcoming beach environment

Requirements

- Comfortable in the water and willing to undertake physical tasks

- Completion of the Bronze Medallion (or willingness to train)

- Ability to work collaboratively and follow safety protocols

- Available for approx. 25 hours per season (flexible roster)
