Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best
The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.
Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.
The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with Department of Transport and Main Road. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system
About the Role
As Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the full lifecycle, contract management function for our high-value, high-risk service contracts on behalf of the project. You’ll lead and mentor a high-performing team, setting direction and fostering a collaborative culture. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll champion best-practice contract management, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with CRRDA and Queensland Government requirements. Your ability to engage and influence across diverse teams will be key to embedding a culture of strong contract management and delivering successful project outcomes.
This opportunity is offered as a full time fixed term of 2 years, with possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the planning, establishment, performance management, and close-out of complex service contracts.

- Monitor contract performance, track KPIs, and ensure compliance
- Develop and enhance contract management systems, templates, and reporting tools.
- Build strong relationships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, promoting the benefits of contract management across the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement and champion best practice in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
About You:
- Extensive experience managing complex service contracts, ideally across multiple categories (e.g. ICT, engineering, consulting).
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
- Strategic and analytical thinker, with the ability to interpret contract data and identify risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to governance and ethical conduct.
- Public sector or government procurement experience (e.g. QPP, QITC) highly regarded.
