Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with a fantastic health service in the Western Region of Queensland to help them find an experienced Child Health Nurse to join their team on an agency contract basis.

Job Details

- Up to $85 per hour base rate (dependent on exp)
- Start in the next 2–4 weeks
- 8 Week Agency Contract
- Clinic Hours Monday to Friday
- Fully furnished housing provided
- Return travel provided
- Uniform provided

Your Main Duties

As a Child Health Nurse, you will be promoting and maintaining the health of children, providing support and education to families, and advocating for the wellbeing of young individuals. Your duties will include:

- Tracking physical, emotional, and cognitive development milestones to ensure children are growing and progressing as expected
- Performing routine health screenings and assessing children for any health concerns or developmental delays
- Administering immunisations to children
- The provision of guidance and education to parents and caregivers on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and child development
- Working closely with children and families who have chronic health conditions, provide education, support, and help manage the condition to promote optimal health and well-being

Tucked away in the heart of outback Queensland, this remote riverside town offers an authentic taste of the Australian bush. Surrounded by vast red-earth plains and mulga country, it/'s a place where time slows down. Visitors can soak in naturally heated artesian waters and explore wide-open landscapes teeming with birdlife and native wildlife.

Eligibility and Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration, no restrictions
- Post graduate qualifications in Child Health Nursing
- Immunisation experience and certification
- Experience with Child Health Checks
- At least 12 months recent Child Health Nursing experience
- All nursing competencies up to date
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e. Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
