Our client, COOMEALLA MEMORIAL SPORTING CLUB LTD, is seeking an enthusiastic Chef

Description of role
1. Collaborate with Head Chef and assist in planning innovative seasonal menus whilst considering budget constraints, ingredient availability, and dietary restrictions.
2. Assist Head chef in developing and testing new recipes and in creation of daily specials to keep the menu dynamic and appealing to our customers.
3. Prepare and cook meals as per the established recipes and standards, with attention to special dietary requirements.
4. Ensure every dish served is consistent and meets high standards of quality, taste and presentation before it reaches to the customers.
5. Assist head Chef in coordinating and managing the activities of cooks, kitchen, and restaurant staff, providing support and assistance as needed.
6. Provide training to new kitchen staff, showing cooking techniques and guiding them in the preparation and cooking of dishes.
7. Train new kitchen staff in proper food handling techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation practices to ensure a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
8. Continuously mentor and develop kitchen team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
9. Oversee inventory control, ensuring safe storage, proper food handling, and responsible disposal practices.
10. Implement and enforce strict safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
11. Occasionally interact with customers to receive feedback, make improvements as needed, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
12. Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, culinary techniques, and ingredient innovations to continually enhance the menu and kitchen operations.

Eligibility
1. Certificate IV or Diploma in the relevant field.
2. Have three years of recent experience working professionally as a chef, indicating a solid foundation in culinary skills and practices.
3. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
5. Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes.
6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
7. Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control
8. Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
