ICT Help Desk Technician/ Support Officer

We are seeking an ICT Help Desk Technician/ Support Officer for our client in Eagle Farm, Brisbane QLD. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong and capable leadership qualities, has the ability to resolve all types of customer inquiries providing remote and in-person IT support to users.

General Duties Include:

- Responding to IT service requests to resolve technical issues. Providing remote and in-person IT support to users.
- Adapting a client's software and hardware setup to their requirements. Downloading, installing, and updating software
- Manage & install IT & Telecommunication infrastructure equipment.
- Install & maintain CCTV Systems, Phone Systems, Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems, Wireless Access Points, PA Systems, Video Conferencing Systems, and IT Equipment.
- Install and fault find Data & Fibre cables at commercial and residential sites (Data includes - CAT6 and Security Cable).
- Install and troubleshoot NBN connections and if required submit a support ticket with uplink provider.
- Enter job activities in detail on internal ticketing system and update clients if necessary. Maintain asset information.
- When in the office answer support calls and create tickets to assist and fix issues remotely for clients.
- Be available to perform updates to systems outside of office hours when required.
- Liaise and interface with service providers via emails and telephone.
- Monitor & report on system availability, performance & security
- Be proactive in identifying areas of efficiency improvement, both in IT and Telecommunication.
- Be available to travel for product specific training.
- Assist junior staff with their learning and understanding of processes.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements including work activities performed by subordinate employees.

To be successful in this role you may need to meet following requirements:

- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect and interact with clients at all levels of proficiency.
- Demonstrated hardware fault resolution on IT & Telecommunication equipment.
- Minimum of 2 years IT & Telecommunications experience or relevant industry experience preferred.
- Construction White Card preferred.
- Current un-restricted drivers’ license required.
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment.
- You will be a good team player and enjoy sharing information and collaborating with other team members

Salary will be $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience and qualifications. This is a Full Time position, with an immediate start.

Candidate will demonstrate strong customer service leadership qualities.
