Bunbury Senior High School (SHS) is a public secondary school located on a hill overlooking the city and the extensive Bunbury beachfront. The school combines historic buildings with new facilities to provide a unique, rich learning experience intertwined with real‑world settings.

Role

Bunbury SHS is seeking an energetic and passionate Health and Physical Education Teacher to join their high‑performing team. The successful applicant will be an experienced educator capable of delivering quality outcomes in ATAR Physical Education (PE) Studies, ATAR Health Studies or ATAR Psychology courses, and of adding value to the school’s BEST Program.

Responsibilities

- Plan, deliver, and assess health and physical education curricula for students.

- Cultivate a safe, accountable, and engaging learning environment that encourages higher‑order thinking.

- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and the wider school community to support student learning.

- Contribute to the school’s BEST Program and other school‑wide initiatives.

Qualifications

- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the appointment term.

- Have a passion for health and physical education and a deep understanding of instructional strategies.

- Obtain a WA Working with Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check before commencing.
