Pranvi Pty Ltd t/as 8848 Momo House Springfield, located at 1 Springfield Lakes Blvd, Springfield Lakes QLD 4300, is seeking an experienced Chef to be part of a dynamic team. This position entails weekend work focusing on the restaurant’s busy lunch, dinner & late-night trade.

Benefits

Excellent working conditions. The salary offered between $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum, depending on experience.

Task & responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

- Overseeing the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

- Ensure that dishes meet quality standards and are served in a timely manner.

- Manage kitchen staff, maintain inventory levels, and adhere to food safety regulations.

Main tasks:

- Menu Planning – Collaborate with management to develop menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability of ingredients.

- Food Preparation – Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure consistency and high quality in all food items.

- Kitchen Management – Oversee kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training of kitchen personnel. Delegate tasks and supervise staff to ensure smooth operation.

- Quality Control – Inspect food items for freshness and quality. Monitor portion sizes and presentation to maintain standards.

- Inventory Management – Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Keep track of food costs and minimize waste.

- Food Safety and Sanitation – Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.

- Customer Service – Interact with customers to address any concerns or special requests. Strive to provide exceptional dining experiences.

- Adaptability – Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques. Adapt menu offerings to accommodate dietary restrictions or changing tastes.

Qualification & experience

To fill the position, you must have:

- Minimum 3 years of full-time work experience as a Chef

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Certificate IV in Kitchen management or higher relevant hospitality qualification

- Priority will be given to people having previous work experience in Nepalese Restaurants.

- Ability to train, motivate and counsel staff in relation to performance issues Exceptional levels of cleanliness and organisation

- Management, communication and organisational skills

- Team player and able to work in busy environment
