We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 6 months to 5 years, in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.

Task & Responsibilities

- Plan and prepare healthy, balanced, and age-appropriate meals and snacks.

- Manage food allergies, intolerances, and cultural dietary preferences.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety Standards.

- Order and manage stock, ensuring cost-effective food supply.

- Develop seasonal menus following nutritional guidelines for early childhood settings.

- Collaborate with centre management and educators to promote positive mealtime experiences.

- Ensure compliance with all WHS and hygiene regulations.

Other Requirements

- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

- Police Clearance Certificate.

- Full working rights in Australia.

Qualification & Experience

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).

- Minimum 2 years’ full-time experience as a Chef post-qualification.

- Demonstrated understanding of children’s nutritional needs.

- Current Food Handling Certificate and understanding of HACCP principles.

- Excellent time management and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, caring team.
