**Our client is a leading organization in the energy industry, and you will be responsible for reducing risks associated with regulation and providing information and advice to assist the company in building confidence and influence with Government and industry.**

As a key member of the Regulatory Team, you will provide high-quality and insightful analysis and advice to support our client's position on prioritized Governmental and industry regulatory issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand the implications of government regulatory and public policy announcements and legislation for the business.
- Understand the implication of electricity regulatory initiatives for the business, including understanding the possible direction of changes to regulations being considered.
- Engage with industry regulatory teams to understand issues and collaborate on approaches.
- Engage with staff of regulatory agencies to share information and influence outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the company's regulatory strategy.

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrated regulatory experience within the energy industry.
- A detailed understanding of regulations and how they will impact the business.
- Understanding of best practice developments in regulatory compliance and drive their implementation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence both the business and external relationships in an intuitive and enthusiastic manner.
