Cardiac Catheter Lab Bookings Officer
Work Location: RMH Parkville (City campus)
Job Type: Part Time (32 hours per week, ongoing position). Must be available to work Tuesday‑Friday.
About the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH): RMH, located in the Parkville Precinct, is one of Australia’s leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.
Your new role
- Assist with bookings for cardiac catheter laboratory procedures
- Process procedure/appointment cancellations
- Reschedule and remove patients from the waiting list using the relevant information/systems in a timely manner
- Assist with cardiac catheter laboratory theatre scheduling
- Support the Cardiology Pre‑Admission Clinic
- Liaise with Cardiology Care Coordinators regarding patient bookings and queries
- Notify patients of their admission/procedure bookings
- Attend weekly Cardiac Catheter Lab meetings
- Run relevant reports as requested
About you
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience in a hospital setting or medical environment
- Strong administrative and computer skills
