Welcome to Punthill Sunshine

We’ve just celebrated our 1 year anniversary We are continuing to grow and are looking for a Night Manager 2-4 nights a week

Our new apartment hotel is located adjacent to Sunshine Station, currently undergoing a major redevelopment as part of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan. Upon completion, the Masterplan landmark project will transform the Station into a transport 'superhub' linking Melbourne Airport with both the CBD and regional Victoria.

Featuring 90-apartments, Punthill Sunshine is represented an attractive accommodation option for both business and leisure travellers, and it offers a mix of fully self-contained modern studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments together with a large conference space that can be turned into 2 spaces, on site gym and on site car parking. The hotel's strategic location in Melbourne’s thriving western region makes it an ideal destination and what makes Punthill Sunshine an exciting addition to our growing network of hotels

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you’ll be part of a small team of genuine people, looking to create lasting memories and exceptional experiences for each and every guest. No day will be the same, but each day you’ll strive to:

- Ensure smooth and consistent management of the night audit function, including audits, reports and reconciliations
- Achieve the successful management of the front office overnight, including late check-ins, compliant handling, problem-solving, guest support, safety and security of guests and team.
- Foster good collaboration of the night team with the wider night and day teams
- Provide training and escalation support for other night teams
- Deliver high levels of guest services in all interactions
- Execute safe and professional management of emergency situations
- Provide support and assistance to the Hotel Manager in higher-level hotel management and admin tasks

About You

We work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, so we’re looking for people who are adaptable, enjoy variety and operate with an ownership mindset.

The successful person must have:

- Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
- First Aid Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
- Flexibility to work at variety of shifts throughout the week, including public holidays on rotation with other team members (although no overnight shifts required)
- Demonstrated experience leading a team with kindness in order to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage escalated compaints with appropriate resolutions
- High standards of attention to detail and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Experience in a customer service role
