The Senior Lead Commercial role is instrumental in managing supplier performance and identifying transformation opportunities while maintaining a safe and efficient Airports operations. The Senior Commercial Analyst will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives, managing contract negotiations, and overseeing billing and invoicing processes to ensure the financial success and cost management of the Regional Ground Handling portfolio. This role will partner closely with the Airport Operational teams to deliver the best operational outcome.
This role encompasses all aspects of strategic relationship management including contract negotiations and executions, financial analysis, leading the Quarterly Business Reviews, and performance management of underperforming suppliers. You will be responsible for analysing commercial proposals and building business cases (RFAs) to support senior management decision making and work closely with other AOCs within the Qantas Group to ensure strategic alignment and deliver best outcome for the Group.
You'll have –
- Demonstrated analytical capability and strategic thinking (5 years’ experience) with the ability to identify commercial issues and opportunities from the business perspective
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage people through strong facilitation, communication and collaboration
- Proven attention to detail, strong organisation skills and the ability to deal with complexity
- Effective time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, quick to learn and able to work without direct supervision
- Tertiary Qualifications (Commerce/Business/Law) with relevant experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
