Are you a strategic recruiter with a passion for building high-performing teams and shaping workforce capability? Huon are seeking aTalent Leadto drive our recruitment strategy, lead a dynamic Talent Team, and partner with leaders across the business to attract and engage top-tier talent. The position is full time, and will work out of our central Hobart office predominately, with travel other sites required on an ad-hoc basis.

The Role

As the Talent Lead, you'll play a key role in:

- Partnering with hiring leaders to understand recruitment needs and develop best-practice sourcing strategies
- Leading and developing a high-performing Talent Team focused on trust, professionalism, and candidate experience
- Owning the full recruitment cycle from advert positioning and proactive searches to selection and onboarding
- Building strong relationships across Huon and JBS to promote internal mobility and workforce planning
- Implementing and evolving Huon's talent attraction and sourcing strategy

Key Responsibilities Include

- Coaching hiring leaders and team members in strategic recruitment planning
- Driving volume recruitment initiatives across blue and white collar roles
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in recruitment processes
- Collaborating with Organisational Development and People & Culture teams to align talent activities
- Championing Huon's values and commitment to safety, wellbeing, and professional growth

About You

- Diploma or higher qualification in HR, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership in recruitment or HR generalist roles across diverse client groups
- Strong communication and influencing skills with a collaborative mindset
- Experience managing high-volume recruitment and strategic talent initiatives
- Organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about building strong stakeholder relationships
