Overview

We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Landsdale Gardens Primary School opened its doors to kindergarten to year 6 students in January 2023. The school provides an innovative environment to inspire young minds. The Role

Suitable applicants should use their sound written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. They will ideally be organized and able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment. Under teacher direction you would assist in the delivery of planned education programs and collaborate with staff to support and monitor student progress. You should be willing to be observed and receive feedback to guide professional growth and contribute advice and expertise in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Qualifications and Eligibility

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and

- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
