Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Wembley Downs Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School within the Churchlands Network of Public Schools. Our school has a feeling of community support and involvement with many parents being actively involved in school activities and the education of their children; it has often been likened to a 'country school in the city'.
Our grounds are characterised by the number of large trees providing both shade and a basis for imaginative play. The original 1950s buildings provide an enclosed, secure feeling whilst our newer facilities, including a multi-purpose undercover assembly area, Early Childhood Centres and Library, assist in delivering our education programs.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you would assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs, including the operation of computers; and, under teacher direction, implement individual or small group programs.
Suitable applicants will ideally have good sound, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents, and teaching professionals. As an Education Assistant, you would ideally assist the teacher with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources for use in class. Excellent organisation and management skills are highly desirable to assist in the delivery of effective education programs to students.
