Overview
Roleystone Community College (CC) is an Independent Public School in the Perth Hills, providing education from Kindergarten to Year 10. The school will participate in the Full-time Kindergarten Pilot for 2026/2027 and is located in a semi-rural area on the Darling Range with a personalised approach to teaching and learning, strong wellbeing emphasis, and opportunities in digital technology, sustainability and the arts.
We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
Roleystone CC is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Education Assistants to work closely with teachers to support students across the classroom, creating an engaging, inclusive and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
Education Assistants should have strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and wellbeing of students. You should be organised, able to use initiative, and assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment. Experience in Early Childhood education is highly regarded due to the full-time Kindergarten program.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers by implementing individual or small group programs and assisting with the general health and wellbeing of students.
- Contribute to an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work with students, parents and teaching professionals.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate sound organisational skills.
- Commitment to student learning and wellbeing; collaborative approach with staff, students and families.
- Applicants with Early Childhood education experience will be highly regarded.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
