Willetton Primary School (PS) is a high achieving school of choice, offering Kindergarten to Year 6. Located in the southern suburbs of Perth, the community reflects diverse backgrounds with 635 students from 38 nationalities and 48 languages spoken. Responsibilities- Work as part of a dedicated team to support students and achieve best educational outcomes.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of the learning environment, including equipment, materials and resources for use in classes.
- Assist with displays and with cleaning and safe storage of items after classes and activities.
- Assist the teacher with the care and supervision of students in out-of-class activities and on school excursions.
- Adapt tasks to meet student needs, reflect on practice and respond to feedback to guide professional growth.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and contribute advice and expertise.
- Help establish a positive school culture with high expectations for learning and behaviour.
- Commitment to maximizing impact on student learning and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to embrace evidence-based strategies used across the school.
- Ability to adapt to change, demonstrate initiative, flexibility and creative problem solving.
- Passion for working with students, families, colleagues and the wider community to achieve student outcomes.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
