Are you passionate about research that improves clinical decision-making and patient care? The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), in collaboration with NSW Regional Health Partners and the University of Newcastle’s Joint Medical Program, is seeking a Research Project Support Officer to contribute to an innovative, multidisciplinary research project improving decision-making in emergency care.

About the Opportunity

As the Research Project Support Officer, you will assist with every stage of the research process - from ethics submissions and data collection to report preparation and manuscript development. Working closely with leading clinicians, researchers, and partner institutions you will contribute to research with real-world impact.

What you will do

- Support ethics and governance submissions and ensure research compliance.

- Collect, manage, and analyse project data to drive evidence-based outcomes.

- Prepare progress reports, manuscripts, and educational materials.

- Collaborate across teams within CCLHD and partner organisations to ensure smooth project delivery.

- Take initiative, solve problems, and help keep the project on track.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate research activities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

- Experience or a keen interest in clinical or health research, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports or manuscripts.

- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring research tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

- Initiative to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with investigators, clinicians, and research teams across partner organisations.

- Passion for improving patient care and health outcomes through evidence-based research, innovation, and teamwork.
