The Office of the CIO (OCIO) is a multi-disciplinary team that drives operational excellence by consistently communicating, planning, monitoring and evaluating performance for Technology for ING Australia.
What you’ll do
- Spearhead end-to-end procurement processes to align vendor partnerships with strategic technology goals.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage high-impact commercial contracts with precision and compliance.
- Oversee contract lifecycles—driving renewals, mitigating risks, and ensuring performance excellence.
- Lead governance initiatives, including DORA compliance, risk assessments, and exit strategies.
- Deliver financial insights to optimize contract value, budgeting, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and streamline contract management systems for operational agility.
What we’re looking for
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business, Law, IT or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in procurement and contract management within banking, financial services, or a technology-driven commercial environment.
- Strong grasp of commercial contract structures, with hands-on experience in contract lifecycle management and governance best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot contractual risks, inconsistencies, and compliance gaps.
- Foundational understanding of risk management and financial principles, with the ability to interpret and apply financial data in a contractual context.
- Strategic mindset paired with sharp commercial acumen and the agility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- A collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous learning and contributing to a high-performing team.
