About the role and where you will be working:
Our residential care team at Southern Plus East Fremantle is looking for an experienced Therapy Assistant to provide client-focused individual support to our valued residents. You'll have the opportunity to apply your skills and experience to improve the safety and independence of our residents. Theyll be looking to you for activities that will enhance self-care, daily living skills and other rehabilitation activities.
Southern Plus East Fremantle is our premium flagship facility, boasting new amenities and providing a variety of social and entertainment services. Our residential site is capable of comfortably supporting up to 83 residents.
This is a permanent part time position working 4x days per fortnight.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Organise the activities planner and conduct activities
- Support appropriate access to the resident's current interests
- Liaise with community groups and schools to support activities
- Work as part of a team
- Show compassion & exercise patience
- Treat our residents & their family with respect
About you:
It would be great if you're an experienced Therapy Assistant with a Cert III or higher in Allied Health Assistance. Alternatively, you may have relevant aged care experience.
You enjoy chatting with residents, family members and staff, and work well with others.
