Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will work closely with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services that enhance the well-being and quality of life of our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of programs that address the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of residents
- Support residents in maximizing their abilities and encourage their participation in daily activities
- Contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and safe environment for all residents, with a focus on those requiring specialized dementia support
- Assist therapists in maintaining and improving residents' functional independence through targeted interventions
- Monitor and report on residents' progress during therapy sessions, providing feedback to therapists on the outcomes of interventions
- Contribute to the evaluation of care plans, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of residents
- Maintain accurate daily records of therapy activities and outcomes to ensure compliance and continuity of care

**Key requirements**:

- Experience working with patients that have dementia - essential
- Completion of a Therapy Assistant course - highly regarded
- Experience working as a Therapy Assistant - highly regarded
- Experience working in the Aged Care Industry, in either community or residential - desirable
- Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, consumers, families and service providers
