We have an opportunity for a **Therapy Assistant** to join our Community North Team on a permanent part-time basis. We are looking to offer 2-3 days a week, you must be available on Thursdays.

Within this position, you will be responsible to the Centre Co-ordinator to ensure centre based programs and group outings are delivered to clients using a Wellness and Reablement approach.

Community home therapy will require you to drive to client’s homes and therefore it is a requirement of the role that you have a reliable vehicle and a current WA driver’s licence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement and contribute to the development of therapy and lifestyle programs for Living Well Centre clients and individual community clients
- Assist in meal preparation with clients
- Provide in home therapy under direction from the Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist
- Maintain a safe environment
- Maintain accurate documentation (paper and computer based)

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Inc.
- Previous experience in a Therapy or Activity Assistant role and Certificate 3 or 4 Allied Health Assistance (essential)
- Skills in providing client centred, meaningful activities
- Knowledge of the needs of older adults, people with dementia and their carers
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as an individual
- Basic computer skills
- Current National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
- Valid WA driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willing to obtain required vaccinations - COVID 19 (minimum of 3 doses) and annual flu vaccination
