About the Role
Are you ready to take the lead in creating safe, efficient, and high-performing environments across our national Distribution Centres (DC)? We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on National Facilities & Asset Manager to drive excellence in facilities maintenance and asset management that directly supports our core operations.
Reporting to the Head of DC Operations, you’ll partner with our Group Property team to ensure our leasehold properties are maintained to the highest standards, while overseeing critical assets like MHE fleets, pallets, racking, and conveyors.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensuring Operations Services team provide support for end-to-end asset management for DCs, including maintenance schedules, fleet hire/ dehire, and picking technology/ devices.
- Providing leadership support for the National Pallet Manager, including enforcement of hire/ dehire practices, vendor management, and operating expenditure controls.
- Overseeing the management of the DC contractor/ service provider link, including overseeing the delivery of Compliance practices for contractor and visitor management, and HSE practices in collaboration with Group Risk & Safety and Property teams.
- Leading and inspiring the Operations Maintenance Leads team towards a high performing team culture.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, ready to lead complex projects and drive operational excellence across our national facilities. With a strong foundation in facilities and asset management, you thrive in environments where safety, efficiency, and innovation intersect.
In addition, you have:
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking to solve complex operational challenges
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Experience leading projects from concept through to execution
- Operational experience within the retail sector or related industries
- Relevant trade or engineering qualifications (Diploma or Degree level)
