**Description**:
Opportunity

The National Facilities and Fleet Manager will oversee office facility maintenance activities across the HCA offices in addition to social housing buildings based in Melbourne, advise and lead Essential Safety Measures with our state operations teams to ensure accountability and compliance. Oversee Fleet management, and successfully manage expectations of key internal and external relationships.

You will have close to 5 years of combined experience in office management, strata or facilities management and fleet management, as well as a strong knowledge and understanding of building Essential Safety Measures.
You must be highly organised and personable, pay close attention to detail, and be able to take the initiative to take charge of things. You also need to work with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve the required outcomes while successfully managing their expectations.

This is a mid-management role, with one person reporting to support the meeting outcomes of this position. If you don’t have all the required knowledge and experience but have a lot of what we are asking for, this will be an ideal opportunity to step into a national role with a highly supportive manager to train and develop you, provided you have an attitude of learning and a growth mindset.

The role will ideally suit a team-oriented person keen to learn, develop and provide support to team members. In return, you will work in a team with a great culture with a sense of camaraderie and a very supportive line manager. HCA has a genuine flexible/hybrid work policy with five weeks of annual leave to improve employee well-being and many learning opportunities to grow and develop.

The position is based in Melbourne, with interstate travel to other sites as required.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**About You**:

- Proven experience in office management, facilities/strata management and fleet management roles
- Experience in delivery of Essential Safety Measures practices and building compliance
- Experience in procurement and tendering processes
- Experience managing contractual and legislative obligations.
- Strong understanding of building services and systems
- Experience in the Build to Rent space and the mobilisation of new buildings
- Ability to manage property and fleet budgets and contribute to investment plans to maximise facilities and fleet values to control costs and expenditures.
- Management and leadership experience for direct reports in addition to key stakeholders
- Proven experience maintaining policies and procedures relevant to the role
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive and productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems
- Sound knowledge of OHS as it applies to the construction/maintenance industry
- Preferable experience within the public/community, private housing sector or transferable sector
