Due to anticipated growth, we are currently looking to engage an Intermediate to experienced intermediate level Electrical Engineer to join our well‑established Brisbane office. The role will involve working with our team of respected engineers in the Adelaide office and engaging with our national team. This role will see you involved with a variety of activities, including but not limited to the following –
- Carry out assigned project and electrical engineering work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards;
- Undertake engineering design and documentation for our current electrical engineering projects including electrical power systems, lighting, passive communications and electronic security;
- Communicate effectively with all external (clients, authorities etc.) and internal (colleagues, managers etc.);
- Embody enthusiasm to work with a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary design setting, and;
- Liaise effectively with internal/external stakeholders.
What we’ll love about you
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical);
- Ideally 3 to 5+ years’ industry experience on Australian building services projects from a selection of sectors, e.g. commercial, health, retail and education;
- Technical skills pertaining electrical engineering, ideally in a consulting engineering environment;
- Understanding and implementation of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.) on building services projects;
- Capacity to effectively handling competing priorities, prioritising work and meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to liaise and coordinate effectively with all internal/external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle;
- Track record of work effectively individually and in a team environment, and;
- Well‑developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
