Our Opportunity:
Due to exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to join the team at GO. Reporting to the National Operations Manager your role will ensure the accuracy, compliance, technical quality, standardisation and ongoing maintenance of project schedules, project reports and resource profiles, adhering to relevant planning standards and compliance requirements throughout the Business.
As the Senior Scheduler, you will operate as an expert advisor on the effects of schedule changes, support and guide Project Managers and Schedulers to develop and maintain project schedules. Your role will ensure that the Business scheduling practices are consistent throughout and are assessed to permit continuous improvement initiatives and realisation of opportunity.

More specifically you will:

- Ensure the accuracy and ongoing maintenance of project schedules adhering to planning standards and compliance requirements
- Build and maintain productive partnerships with all key stakeholders to ensure schedule outputs are reliable and used effectively to achieve objectives
- Monitor schedule changes and impacts,
- Maintain schedule baselines and adhere to change control requirements, you will establish effective monitoring, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Act as an expert advisor on the effects of schedule changes, you will support and guide project schedulers to develop and maintain the master schedule
- Ensure effective communication and coordination, developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships to achieve business goals
- Assist with variance analysis, time impact analysis and evaluation of construction schedule architecture
- Support the schedule review meetings with the stakeholders and revise the schedules accordingly

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Advanced P6 Primavera experience – preferably formally recognized training such as Oracle “P6 advanced”
- Advanced MS Project experience
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods
- Extensive knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Suitable experience as a scheduler / Project Controls operating within heavy industries and industrial sectors – preferably within a Principal Contractor organization
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills coupled with a desire to champion change across the business
- High attention to detail and problem resolution skills
- An affinity for our Guiding Principles of Care, Integrity, Passion, Respect and Future
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance
