Job Description:

An experienced Senior Systems Engineer is sought to join a skilled hardware engineering team delivering advanced solutions within a complex, mission-critical environment. This role will focus on the development, deployment, and support of sophisticated hardware and software systems for high-reliability applications.

The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and support across requirements definition, design, integration, verification, and validation activities. The position involves applying advanced engineering theories, methodologies, and principles to deliver innovative and robust solutions, while balancing cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in Design Definition, Design Development, Integration and Verification in one or more of the following disciplines: Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven capability in hardware and software integration.
  • Experience in the design and development of integration and test environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to take a leading role within a technical team.
  • Previous experience in a Defence or similarly regulated industry.
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding and application of relevant technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering tools and processes (e.g., DOORS, CAMEO).
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 level).
