What you’ll do
In this purpose-driven role, you’ll work alongside First Nations individuals and families experiencing complex challenges, helping them to stabilise and sustain their housing.
Through culturally responsive case management, advocacy, and connection to support services, you’ll walk alongside tenants, supporting them on their journey towards secure, longer-term tenancies.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
- Providing intensive, wraparound support to First Nations peoples whose tenancy is at risk, using strengths-based, culturally safe and trauma informed approaches
- Collaborating with individuals and families to develop tailored case plans that address tenancy challenges and promote wellbeing
- Supporting tenants to improve and sustain property conditions by addressing root causes, including health and wellbeing factors
- Leading and participating in multidisciplinary case conferences that keep the tenant’s voice and goals at the centre of every decision
- Empowering tenants through connection to community, practical support, advocacy, and referrals to both internal and external services
- Maintaining accurate case records and contributing to program reporting and continuous improvement
- Actively engaging in ongoing learning, sharing best practices, and staying up to date with legislation and service networks that support First Nations communities

What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A background in areas such as: Social Work, Community Services, Youth Work, Counselling, Mental Health or Drugs and Alcohol support
- Experience working with First Nations people, communities, and cultural protocols
- The ability to manage complex caseloadsguided byculturally safe practice
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based practice in community settings
- Understanding of housing issues and the social justice principles thatwillguide your work
We would also love you to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with housing frameworks and government or community support systems
