AsManager, Business Controls, you’ll support the effective management of riskacross Great Southern Bank by embedding strong frameworks, processes andgovernance. You’ll play a hands-on role in identifying and managing risks,supporting compliance with obligations, and ensuring the business is operatingwithin risk appetite.

You’llbe a trusted advisor to divisional leaders, working closely with the RiskManagement Group, and will have responsibility for delivering practical riskand compliance solutions that enable great customer outcomes and protect theBank.

Thisposition is open to candidates located in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, offering you theflexibility to work from home two days a week.

You’ll make an impact by:

- Supportingthe design, implementation, and maintenance of business controls to ensurecompliance with obligations and alignment to risk appetite
- Providingadvice and guidance to leaders and teams on the Risk Management Framework,control effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement
- Monitoringand assessing risks, incidents and compliance breaches, and supportingroot cause analysis and remediation activities
- Coordinatingand supporting compliance and obligations management, including policies,standards, and reporting requirements
- Buildingrisk awareness across the business by partnering with stakeholders andembedding risk management into day-to-day decision making
- Drivingcontinuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline,automate, and uplift business processes

Do things differently with us

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Minimum7 years’ experience in financial services with a focus on risk, complianceor business controls
- Strongunderstanding of operational risk and compliance frameworks withinfinancial services
- Experiencein identifying, assessing, and managing operational and compliance risks.
- Practicalknowledge of regulatory obligations relevant to banking and financialservices
- Abilityto influence stakeholders and provide clear, practical guidance
- Strongorganisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities anddeliver outcomes
