And now, we’re looking for a proven leader to step in as Business Head – Melbourne / Victoria.

The Opportunity

This is a business head role where you will effectively play the role of a CEO for your market. You’ll own and drive every key function across Victoria:

- Vehicle Refurbishment – manage throughput, quality control, and turnaround
- Sales & Financing – grow retail sales, loan penetration, and product margins
- Value-Added Services & Aftercare – scale offerings like warranties, tinting, and protection
- Delivery Operations – ensure seamless last-mile handovers and customer experiences
- Future Growth – lead the planning and setup of the next facility and investments
- Cross-State Visibility – while leading Melbourne, gain influence across NSW and QLD

What You’ll Drive

- P&L Ownership – run Victoria’s full profit and loss, driving revenue growth and cost efficiency
- End-to-End Strategy & Ops – oversee refurb, sales, delivery, finance, and CX
- Dealer & Wholesale Ecosystem – build and maintain critical trade relationships
- Sales & Financing Growth – increase conversion across sales, finance, and ownership products
- Team Leadership – lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of 50+ across blue- and white-collar functions
- Data-Driven Growth – track KPIs and use insights to steer business performance
- Future Investments – play a leading role in establishing new facilities and scaling our national footprint
- Strategic Partnership – work directly with the Founder’s Team and CEO of CARS24 Australia as a thought partner in scaling the entire business

Requirements

What You’ll Need

- 8+ years’ leadership experience in P&L-heavy roles (operations, automotive, consulting or high-growth businesses and startups)
- Track record of scaling and managing multi-function teams and operations
- Strong commercial and analytical skills to interpret data, build insights, and drive action
- Ability to lead diverse teams across technical, operational, and commercial functions
- Thrives in high-growth, ambiguous environments with limited playbooks
- Startup experience is highly favourable
