We are recruiting for a permanent Senior Compliance Analyst role based in Melbourne. This role will have one direct report, and involve working closely with both payroll and HRIS teams to lead audits, build frameworks and drive compliance across the department.

You'll be stepping into a collaborative team environment to ensure every staff member is paid accurately and in accordance with award and legislative requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in high-volume environments and is passionate about accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.

The role:

- Design and implement compliance strategies across payroll operations
- Interpret complex award and EBAs
- Reconciliation and reporting for Single Touch Payroll and backpay adjustments
- Deliver high-level reports and insights
- Lead governance audits and internal risk reviews
- Develop and maintain SOPs, training programs, and best practice standards
- Lead and mentor one direct report while collaborating with internal stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:

- Solid payroll lifecycle knowledge & enterprise compliance experience
- Ideally have SuccessFactors EC/ECP experience
- Strong data analysis/reporting skills (Excel, SQL, Spinifex, HRIS tools)
- Ability to interpret multiple awards and EBAs
- Proven experience in payroll governance and process improvement
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder rapport
- Health sector experience is desirable
- Previous leadership experience is desirable
