About the Small Business Development Corporation
The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) is the primary provider of small business information and guidance within the Western Australian Government. We support the development and growth of small business by providing information, referrals and business advice, and delivering programs to address specific needs within the small business sector. About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Engagement and Project Officer to manage our Small Business Friendly (SBF) Local Government Alliance where you will support and collaborate with key stakeholders, networks and programs to leverage strategic partnerships and alliances to benefit small businesses. You will have strong project management, reporting, problem‑solving, relationship‑building and influencing skills which you will apply in seeking opportunities to address regulatory and operational obstacles, including streamlining approval processes and identifying opportunities to improve the operating environment for small businesses.
This is a fixed‑term full‑time position available for immediate filling to 30 June 2027.
Applicants assessed as suitable (but not recommended for appointment) during this selection process may be appointed to other similar fixed‑term or permanent (full‑time or part‑time) vacancies that may occur throughout the Corporation over the next 12 months.

The successful applicant will be required to produce a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed‑term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.

Though it is not an essential requirement, demonstrated knowledge of the small business sector would be an advantage.
