Scenic Artist (Full-Time, Fixed Term For 12 Months)
We’re looking for a skilled and creative Scenic Artist to join Melbourne Theatre Company’s Production team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced artist who thrives on collaboration, craftsmanship, and bringing bold theatrical designs to life on stage.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Scenic Art Supervisor and play a hands-on role in creating and finishing scenic elements for productions, from large-scale set pieces to intricate props and surface treatments.
- Apply scenic treatments, painting, texturing, and other finishes across a range of materials.
- Collaborate with the wider Production team to ensure the design vision is brought to life with precision and artistry.
- Maintain a practical, team-oriented approach that values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adaptability.
People & Culture Coordinator
We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic People & Culture Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys improving systems, and is passionate about people and process.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical support across the People & Culture function, with a focus on Health & Safety systems, compliance reporting, and training coordination.
- Support employment contracts, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure policies and procedures are up to date and aligned with Fair Work requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the University of Melbourne Health and Safety Team to support compliance obligations and drive continuous improvement.
- Utilise attention to detail, confidence, and ability to create digital tools, with a commitment to clear communication to shape a workplace where people feel supported and empowered.
