About The Roles:
Policy and Project Officer – Level 5
In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to Climate Action and Sustainability policy options and projects that are aligned to government policies and priorities. Some of your duties include but are not limited to:
- Interpreting and using processes and principles involved in policy development.
- Understanding and applying different research methodologies and data sets (available or required) in developing policy options and projects.
- Contributing to policy implementation, project coordination, and monitoring and evaluation of policy and/or project performance.
- Monitors project performance against agreed indicators and shares lessons learnt from project evaluation.
Principal Policy Officer (Climate & Sustainability) – Level 7
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development and evaluation of initiatives and projects related to Climate Action and Sustainability policy options, ensuring their effectiveness and conformance with organisational goals, objectives and priorities. Some additional but not limited duties include:
- Supports managers through the provision of professional advice and coordination, establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with project teams, internal and external clients, stakeholders and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Managing program design coordination functions to enable project delivery and contributes to planning, budgeting, resourcing, tracking, reporting, quality management and communication to ensure key risks, issues and interdependencies are flagged, managed, and escalated within the project/s.
- Delivers and maintains key project documentation and manages document and version control for allocated projects, including schedules, plans, registers, change requests project status reports and financial tracking.
