About the opportunity:

This varied, people-focused role isintegral to the care and support of employees recruited from the PacificIslands under the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, who areemployed directly by Costa. The Welfare and Wellbeing Officer (WWO) ensures thewellbeing, safety, and overall experience of the Direct Hire Seasonal Workercohort during their time in Australia. Multiple positions are available,ranging from full-time to part-time fixed-term contracts, to join our Tasmaniateam.

In this role you will be responsiblefor the following:

- Assistwith preparing accommodation before the cohort’s arrival and after theirdeparture.
- Conductregular accommodation inspections to ensure cleanliness and coordinatemaintenance as required.
- Ensureworker-related reports and documentation are accurate and compliant.
- Organiseand support recreational trips during evenings or days off (weekdays orweekends).
- Collaboratewith farm teams to monitor individual worker performance and provide supportwhere needed.
- Conductwelfare and wellbeing checks with individual workers.
- Providesupport for attendance at routine or emergency medical appointments.
- Ensureinjuries are reported and escalated promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Assistwith arrival and departure requirements in line with the Seasonal WorkerProgram.

About you:

The successful candidate needs to beable to demonstrate high levels of commitment and performance and will have;

- Adriver's license and their own reliable vehicle
- Stronginterpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written
- Theability to work with sensitive information in a confidential environmentwith a high degree of integrity
- Attentionto detail and ability to manage compliance
- Preferablyprevious experience in a similar role working with SWP or PALM workers –however this is not essential
- Comfortableworking autonomously and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholdersacross the business
- Theability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellentreporting and administration skills

The Welfare and Wellbeing Officer willneed to be willing to be contacted 24/7 (with rostered time off from this oncall arrangement as needed), will need to be able to work hours in line withthe groups needs and be flexible in their work schedule. It is anticipated thatin order to build great relationships, the person will need to be amongst thegroup regularly during early mornings and evenings, as well as some weekends.
