Overview

Location: Townsville, Australia. Sector: Legal. Salary: $80,000.00 to $130,000.00 per annum. Our client is a premier law firm based in Townsville. Providing services across family, disputes, criminal, injury, wills and estates, commercial and DVO, this successful firm seeks to add an experienced commercial lawyer to its successful team.

Key Responsibilities

- The ability to successfully manage a wide range of interesting commercial law and litigation matters;
- The role is broad, encompassing commercial law, business, estates, litigation, etc., according to experience;
- The role includes both dispute resolution and hard litigation;
- Excellent drafting skills, including correspondence, contracts, applications, affidavits, etc.;
- Excellent ability to successfully negotiate outcomes for clients;
- Briefing Counsel for Advices, Mediations and Trials;
- Opportunity to also work in other practice areas if you are interested in doing so.

Qualifications

- Prior experience working in a Commercial Law or Litigation role;
- Prioritisation, organisation and time management skills to meet objectives;
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite 365 skills;
- Warm, friendly and professional with a customer service focus;
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Flexible, proactive approach to achieving team and business goals;
- Strong interpersonal skills to build robust working relationships within a dynamic team environment.
