Our clients come to us when it’s important to handle complexity, drive diversity, offer strategic and long-term value, and to create innovative and sustainable solutions.Lendlease ACT, are currently seeking a Construction Planner to join our team in Canberra and support the delivery of a major, long-term project.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing construction plans, schedules, and methodologies using Primavera P6 to ensure projects are delivered on time.**Your responsibilities will include:*** Develop and implement comprehensive construction methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.* Conduct constructability reviews to identify potential issues and optimise construction methods.* Collaborate with project engineers and construction managers to understand project requirements and develop effective construction plans and schedules using Primavera P6.* Analyse project progress, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project completion dates are met.* Provide expert advice on construction planning, methods, and best practices to project teams, focusing on constructability and efficient project delivery.* Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for improvement.**Requirements for the role:*** To be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.* A Government Security Clearance, or the ability to gain and maintain one.* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.* Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with experience in planning and programming, preferably in large-scale building projects.* Proven experience in developing and managing construction plans and schedules using Primavera P6.* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, including critical path method (CPM) scheduling, lean construction principles, and constructability reviews.* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines.**Desirable Skills:*** Experience working on high-security facilities, such as government buildings, military bases, or sensitive infrastructure projects.* Knowledge of security protocols and procedures for working on sensitive projects.* Experience with other project management software, such as Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse/Risk.* Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.* Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
