The Opportunity

Due to anticipated growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking a Project Consultant – Sustainability and Climate Change to join our New South Wales (Sydney, Paramatta or Newcastle) team.

We’re looking for a natural team player who is eager to contribute across all aspects of sustainability consultancy—from integrating into a high-performing local and national team, supporting strategic bids and business development activities, and shaping high-level conceptual project strategies, through to delivering defined requirements and verifying performance outcomes in operation.

The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated experience in leading small to medium-scale sustainability-focused projects.

A Typical Day for You

- Managing deliverables for medium-scale projects or components of larger projects
- Contributing to project planning, management, budgeting, and controls
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to develop project briefs and source information
- Applying deep knowledge of sustainability/ESD principles to solve complex problems, particularly around decarbonization of buildings and infrastructure assets
- Producing designs and reports to meet client requirements
- Presenting at and contributing to client meetings and workshops

About You

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related sustainability discipline
- 4+ years’ industry experience as a Sustainability Consultant or similar role, preferably with building or infrastructure design and delivery experience
- Familiarity with best-practice certification schemes such as Green Star, NABERS, NatHERS, BASIX, and ISC IS ratings
- Ideally, experience or confidence in technical analysis across energy, water, and waste modeling; climate resilience; and life-cycle analysis. Familiarity with IES, FirstRate, or HERO software is desirable
- Ability to apply theoretical engineering/scientific principles to analyze, interpret, and resolve project requirements and challenges
- Passion for developing solutions for a low-carbon, sustainable built environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
