About Society: A statement of modern Australian design and sophisticated dining culture, the art of à la carte is the centrepiece allowing diners to curate their own experience promising no two visits need ever be the same. Grand yet intimate, the restaurant has 180 degree views over Collins and Exhibition streets encompassing distinctly different dining experiences – the Society dining room, customised private dining, the Lillian Brasserie and a luxurious lounge bar with each space remaining independent in menu offerings.
Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in daily kitchen operations, using your skills and expertise in a fast-paced, premium dining environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef looking to refine their craft and grow within a highly regarded team.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have
- 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie or above in a premium, a-la-carte restaurant
- European cuisine highly regarded
- Solid understanding of management practices in a section
- Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
- Solid understanding of food safety standards
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation
- Able and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
